I wouldn't use CitiBike for Central Park - there's a $4 fee per each 15 mins after your first 30 mins, so unless you're planning on docking every 30 mins, I'd hire from one of the companies hiring bikes especially for the park.
Yes there are restrooms in the park see park map for locations within
Yes, there is lots of things to see and do. Best if one obtains a map and plan ahead.
No its not. Anywhere you go you should be attentive and pay attention to your surroundings. But in manhatten especially you see police walking or driving almost everywhere
The Lake is in the center of Central Park, more or less street 79.
To the park itself, there are no entry fees. There are a lot of activities that can be done within the park itself that might require an entry fee but for the most part a lot of the activities hosted are free.
few
Yes. Beautiful.
There isn't one. Dogs are allowed off-leash between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and then 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
There is an ice rink in Centel park. Located in the South Eastern part of the park. Generally open during the colder months and weather dependent.
One of my favorite places on earth. It’s become a pilgrimage for me to walk up the Mall, past the vendors and musicians, down into Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. This place is so cliche for good reason.
I love riding around Central Park on the paved road. Perfect ride for my Onewheel. There's so much space for you to sit around in the grass or walk the trails
A must see in NYC. Great park there for kids. Lots to explore. Trails, gazebo covered in flowers, faux rock formations to climb...and clean.
This is the most magnificent park in the world!I came here with my gf last year in the summer, we had the most incredible time of romance and lust. Many of it spent here at Central Park, we often came to the park at night when it was quiet, we gazed at the stars whilst pondering on how astoundingly beautiful the park is. We took wine and sushi there with us and ended up sitting out until sunrise, it was magical and an experience we will never forget.
Beautiful , stunning place. Excellent in every inch. Highly recommended. Love this place.
Urban oasis. Favorite spots are the Ramble and its endless little trails and Sheep Meadow for relaxing and people watching.
It was a beautiful day in the park today. It was a hot steamy one, but sitting next to the water and watching the ducks on the water was a very pleasant sight, and just enjoying watching the kids play on the lawns
This is the Southwest corner of Central Park. Entry from Columbus Circle.Upon entry, and if you stay left, you will come across a little haven of a glade with benches and a small picnicking area. While Central Park continues to buzz around you. Enjoy. ✌🏽💗🙏🏽
It is rather challenging to adequately convey the enchanting and enthralling characteristics of Central Park through the written word alone. With a seemingly infinite number of foot & bike paths that weave & wind their way through a vast expanse of towering trees, foliage, fields, and greenery of all kinds. Central Park is very much a place that must be experienced first hand in order to fully take in all the charm and splendor it has to offer.
Central Park is so beautiful, but make sure that you are wearing the right shoes. My husband and I enjoyed this place so much.
A very well kept trail of nature. The smell of trees was powerful enough to get past the face mask and the air was noticably nicer.
The ideal place to wind down and forget the busy NYC life, this place is just LOVE! Very beautiful and stimulating. Central Park Created in late 1800s and designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Central Park contains twenty named gates. Four of these gates are positioned at the corners of the park, each of which contains a circle or plaza. There is so much to see and explore in Central Park that one has to simply experience it, rain or shine.
A hidden gem in an out of the way part of the Big Apple. Ask one of the locals for directions. You may have to ask several as Big Applers want to keep it for themselves. Enjoy.
Central Park is so beautiful! We came to New York for our son's 16th birthday present and he had a great time exploring and seeing the beautiful nature scape centered in the middle of this culturally diverse city. It was definitely a memorable trip.
A lot of people come jogging or biking (some without masks on) which concerns me, but at least you have plenty of open space and beautiful sky 😭
We had a great day as always at Central Park! It's always a pleasure to go there cause it's nice, clean, and most importantly, it's very quiet and I love that! That's why I travel from the Bronx to Central Park!
This is amazing place in the heart of New York City. Nobody can imagine the city without my this park. Huge lake and number of sports areas. You would spend a great time with your family, kids or friends. Do not forget to visit a Zoo as well.
People underestimate how large this park is. It's freaking huge! The luscious greenery, tall trees, and amazing water features almost make you forget you're in the middle of Manhattan. People mainly stick to themselves here, but those I did come in contact with were friendly, and more than willing to either provide directions or answer questions about the area. The park is very clearly cared for and kept to a very high standard. One of my favorite places in NYC.
Central park was amazing. It's so peaceful and gigantic. Everything is well laid out. From the walkways, to the benches, the trees and the grass. There's a great deal of space. So you don't feel like everyone is on top of each other. It also provides awesome picnic areas, dating destination, even marriage proposal location and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of. Plus the rich history that's behind the park, is a bonus. It's a blast 👍
It is an amazing place to visit and have fun.
This place is alive with activity...and can also be peaceful. Something for everyone.
To escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city this is the best place, rent a bike and go around the park, it will be a good way to relax and have fun, even better if you go with friends or boyfriend. Have a good time…
Grew up with Central Park as my playground. Incredible diversity and beauty throughout the park. It's a true oasis amidst and surrounded by the concrete of Manhattan.
Very beautiful place. I want highlight a very clean air and very quite sounds
Peaceful and spacious. The carts make it easier to get anywhere in this huge park
The lungs of New York City, an enchanting green area full of ponds, bridges and walkways, monuments, fields for sports, playgrounds, terraces and benches on which to take a break. The statues of Balto and Alice in Wonderland are super cute! A walk or a bike ride in Central Park is not to be missed!
Nice, windy paths. Would have loved to spend more time to explore, but it was so hot! We visited a nearby smoothie truck to cool down, then hit up the Central Park Zoo. A nice way to spend the day.
Amazing Park. A little bit of green the middle of the New York City. About the statues monuments nooks and cranes to explore. Right now, during Covid, It's nice because there are no tourists.
So beautiful. I sit on a bench and take zoom meetings under a willow tree overseeing a lake! Upper NE corner.
So relaxing and such a nice place to spend quality time with yourself or with loved ones. This is one of the places that made me fall in love with New York. I adore Central Park.
Me and my wife enjoyed our trip to NYC back in Jan 2018. It was unfortunately our last trip (she passed April 13, 2018. NH lymphoma (cancer) .....just shy of her 33rd birthday. I’ll always cherish that trip. Central Park is about 500x better then expected. I really recommend it if you’ve never gone!
Central park is an amazing part of the city! There is so much to see and do and appreciate nature in the cuty that never sleeps.
House music playing by the fountain.. people wearing their masks so that's was good.. felt nice to dance on a warm summer night while everything is going wild in the world
Central Park describes itself. Whether you’re visiting or live here, you know it’s an important NYC landmark. You have nature, hiking, dog parks, zoo, ice skating, boat rides, lake, pond, pool, restaurants, etc. The list is endless. You can do anything in Central Park, and any area you enter from you’re bound to find something amazing. Personally I prefer it during the spring and summer when the trees and flowers have bloomed, but when the first snow fall, it’s very beautiful to look at.
Central Park has all the room in it and the land escaping that is done daily is. absolutely phenomenal. The people who regularly attend are committed to their park and activities. Overall it's just a blessing.
I can't remember the amount of times I've been through Central Park I've spent anywhere from just a couple hours walking and enjoying this great historical place I've also spent the entire day. If you don't enjoy Central Park while you're here in New York City you've absolutely missed it. We are lucky as a country and I hope everyone realizes this....please ...."Enjoy"!!
Central Park is fabulous! I suggest you always make time to stop by and take in some much needed park time. There are so many places to check out but starting the 59th street on the east side is a great start. Make your way upTowards 72nd street so you can head over to Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. This is wonderfully created. Not a lot of people now so Wild life is out and about! This is a serene place to chill, run and bike amongst other things. There are so many parts of Central Park this is just one small section worth checking out!
Central park always a great place for some social connection in New York City. After being indoors or isolated in COVID 19 for several weeks, I had to find some natural renewal to feel grounded. Walking through the park allows me to be connected. Watching people, trees, people rides bicycle give you some sense of normal. The park vibrant nature of rocks, playgrounds, trees, birds, food carts give a emotional boost to become a part of its revival that will connect you to your natural senses. This is the best place to be
Even though there were many visitors in the park, spacing was not an issue due to the size of the park. All visitors did have masks on and social distancing was evident. We rode our bikes on Central Park's bike trail that encompassed the whole park. Great photo ops along the route. Public restrooms were open at the entrance of Central Park Zoo.
Central Park is an urban park in New York City located between the Upper West and Upper East Sides of Manhattan. It is the fifth-largest park in the city by area, covering 843 acres (3.41 km2). It is the most visited urban park in the United States with an estimated 38 million visitors annually, and is the most filmed location in the world.
Best place to be to relax. I went there at a hot sunny day and I spent the day enjoying the view of huge buildings.
It's a lovely place, and wonderful and relax place. It's good for do exercise, bike , run and whatever you want.
It's a must visit iconic park. Everyone is aware of social distancing and wearing facemask. Beautiful peaceful scenery, awesome place just to walk and enjoy the scenery. Dispute Columbus Circle being fenced off with steel police barricades, it still doesn't take away from its beauty.
Central Park has always been one of my favorites and a go to when I visited NY. Now that I live here I go when possible, especially now that it's getting more comfortable to move around after all this time in quarantine. Some people might enjoy entering through the southwest entrance on Central Park West and 59th. It's easy to jump in and join the flow of walkers, runners and cyclists. Popular spots within the park are the Zoo, Belvedere Castle, Bethesda Fountain, John Lennon Memorial among others. There's something for everyone. I do wish there were more trash cans, so if you're carrying a bottle water or ice cream please do your part and hold on to your trash until you can properly dispose of it.
As of right now theres less people cause of the Covid . Wonderful place to spend a date and a joint .
Such a beautiful and tranquil atmosphere. I have to say I was a little nervous going, but everyone was wearing masks and practicing social distancing which made it such a wonderful day out feeling comfortable and safe. I grew up going to Central park with my parents. I loved walking around and sharing those memories with my son!
The north end of the park is the most beautiful in my opinion, i imagine its what NY looked like before it was turned to a city. There are several little waterfalls dotted around, almost like hidden treasures. Very peaceful and relaxing
This is a place to go to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. You get serenade by music around the park arch. If you ever visit nyc you should definitely visit this park. My favorite park in nyc
A beautiful serene park in the centre of hustle bustle New York City’s Manhattan. It’s always fun to visit the park during summer. Park offers many touristy attractions and it can be covered through different modes of transport: biking, 2 wheeler scooter
To escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city this is the best place, rent a bike and go around the park, it will be a good way to relax and have fun, even better if you go with friends or boyfriend. Have a good time…
